BIOGRAPHY
Pianist, composer, and improviser Roberta Baldizzone began her piano studies with Maestro Enrico Pesce in Acqui Terme - her hometown - and obtained her piano diploma at the 'A. Boito' Conservatory in Parma under the guidance of Maestro Sun Kyung Lee.
She then earned a Second-Level Academic Diploma in Jazz, studying piano with Maestro Alberto Tacchini and composition with Maestro Roberto Bonati. She also holds a diploma in Instrumental Teaching from the ISSM 'Vecchi-Tonelli' in Modena and a degree in Musicology from the University of Pavia.
Roberta has attended courses, seminars, and masterclasses conducted by renowned musicians such as Giorgio Vercillo, Luca Sabatino, Giancarlo Tossani, Paolo Birro, Nico Morelli, Ivano Borgazzi, Roberto Dani, Misha Alperin, Franco D'Andrea, Bruno Tommaso, Gianluigi Trovesi, Barre Phillips, Graham Collier, Sidsel Endresen, and Tor Yttredal.
Second recording as a leader by Roberta Baldizzone for the ParmaFrontiere label, featuring her White Quartet, a now well-established albeit unconventional ensemble that sees Roberta Baldizzone on piano accompanied by Gabriele Fava on soprano and tenor sax, Michele Bonifati on electric guitar, and Marcello Canuti on drums.
